Just bumped into some nice cool Exchange Server 2010 SP1 installation features :). When installing Exchange Server 2010 with SP1 integrated into the source, an option is added to the installation.

From now you can automatically install the Windows Server roles and features that are a prerequisite for the installation of Exchange Server 2010 SP1. Just hit the checkbox in front of “Automatically install Windows Server roles and features required for Exchange Server”

You are also able to create an unattended installation of Exchange 2010 by using the “/InstallWindowsComponents” parameter when using setup.com .

Another cool feature is that the installation wizard notices when you restart the installation after a reboot.

One other thing I think is changed, is that you need to supply a bridgehead server for automatically creating a routing group connector when installing Exchange Server 2010 Sp1 into an Exchange Server 2003/2007 organization. 🙁 I like creating my own routing group connectors, like I was able to do in Exchange Server 2007. I don’t know if the option was also mandatory in the setup without SP1.
